About Noritake

 'THE STANDARD OF PERFECTION'

Noritake has brought beauty and quality to dining tables around the world since 1904. Superior artistry and craftmanship, attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to quality have since made Noritake an international trademark.

The Noritake of today grew out of a trading company (Morimura Brothers) that was established in New York in 1876. This company imported chinaware and other gift items. In 1904 the forerunner of of the modern day company was established in the village of Noritake near Nagoya in Japan. By 1914 the process of manufacturing western style dinnerware had been perfected and when assembly line techniques were introduced in the early 1920's Noritake was able to mass produce high quality yet affordable dinnerware - two key themes in an ongoing success story.

Noritake Australia was established in 1957 and proceeded to grow very quickly, with the superb value-for-money of Noritake china proving to be an instant hit with Australian consumers. Today Noritake continues to be a market leader, supplying superior quality tableware products to over 100 countries. A majority of these products are still manufactured in Noritake owned factories using the highest quality materials.
